Yesterday I looked at the LliureX project website, the public face of my previous work, a Drupal based site with news and forums for the project users.
Since I left the project I look a lot less at it, but yesterday I did it to see if there was something new and to look at the current discussions going on.
To my surprise I found that the section with the latest forum posts was gone from the main page, the link to the forums is there, but there are no headlines for the latest articles.
It seemed weird to me, but I know that in the past comments were removed from the news section articles, so I entered on the Forums and it looks that it has happened again.
As some posters suggest it seems that the reason of the new configuration is related to a couple of entries about the people in charge of the project:
If that is so (I'm almost sure it is) it is a ridiculous move and shows a lack of understanding about how the web is used this days; I got those posts as the first matches when searching at google and anyone interested will found them looking at the forums anyway.
Things like that are the reason I don't like political driven projects. IMHO the right way of fighting this kind of comments is make them false, not to hide them, but with movements like that things simply look worse.
Each day I feel better about my decision to leave... :)
